black HERstory - michele jenkins-utomi

WHAT I DO:
I’m a banker ... a Relationship Manager in PNC Bank’s Community Development Banking Group. We lend, invest and provide services to community partners. At home, I’m an experimental cook (who’s working to “finesse” her gumbo skills). I also find peace in my flower garden; it truly is an opportunity to see the fruits of one’s labor in a season.

MY PERSONAL STYLE:
Classic, but with a definitive edge!! At this point, I’m shouting out basic. and one of its staple designer’s, Kaarem ...beautiful fabric, well-made, clean, elegant lines with a little bit of drama in each piece. What else can I say? She gets me.

WORDS TO LIVE BY:
I have to say that ever more often, it’s the Serenity Prayer: “God, grant me the SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change; the COURAGE to change the things I can; and the WISDOM to know the difference.”

ANYTHING ELSE:
“People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person ...” -- Unknown author
